Postby Azer on Tue May 27, 2008 3:04 am

Hello all,

I got a mate who recently expressed some interest in studying yiquan and maybe taiji, he lives/works around Manchester/Stockport area. Can someone please recommend some good schools/teachers.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi,
No Yiquan that I know of. If your friend is interested in Xingyiquan, Bagua or Chen Taichi (or Nine Little Heaven/Zimen) he might want to pop in on my school(www.manchesterkungfu.com) or if he is interested in Gao style Bagua there is Dave Bolton (PM me for his number) who runs a Gao style group.
Best Chris

Thanks Chris, I think Ba Gua might be a bit much for a beginner, but we'll see what happens. I'm gonna forward all the details to my mate and see what suits his schedule best. Thanks again everyone!

Hi,

Lots going on in mancheter/stockport. PLenty of TJQ around, maybe he could check out wang hai juns school;http://www.wanghaijun.com/

yiquan is slightly harder to find, but lo :www.jin-long.co.uk, although yi quan is not listed, the teacher knows it and uses yiquan in his tjq classes.

what are the reasons for choosing these particular arts?

Regards,

timo
