All those Fa Jin methods on the internet that use pushing the feet, turning the Kua, using facia, drop this relax that, pushing by relaxing, dropping the body and squeezing his center to the opponent's center and pushing up, etc., are not Yang family Fajin. They are simply techniques for persuading people.

They are just the techniques to push people.

Yang family Fajin is about the rising and falling of Nei Qi, Zhang and Chi of the back, Kai and He of the internal movement, and Xu and Fa of Nei Jin.

That is why the classic says, "storing Jin is like pulling the bow, Fa Jin is like shooting the arrow."

Training to Fa-Jin is a process to increase the internal power. We can apply this power to any type of technique, not only pushing people.

Neijin is passive, but you must move your qi... Ok... ::) First neijin stays passive and later he says that you must activate it. :-\

Yeah, I've watched the first video and I have a headache watching it again. It's one off the most confused explanations I've ever heard. He confuses the terms and concepts and I don't agree with the vast majority of what he says. He knows names and terms enough to remember them and use them, but shows very little understanding of the theory behind them.

I think I need to watch a few of Hai Yang's clear, concise and knowledgeable videos again just to calm my brain after this.

Yeah I'm generally a fan of his work, particularly his translations, but I find it hard to get anything of value out of this video.

Uses all the tricks the others use
Talks a better game than he plays

Only if you want it to be insulting. I have never met Teacher Liang, and have therefore also never touched hands with him physically, so I can't personally attest to his skill level. Thus, my comment was a general observation not specifically directed at him or anyone else in particular. The intended insult to Sifu Liang belongs solely to Wayne Hansen. My apologies to anybody who misinterpreted my statement. :-\

I referred to Wayne.

In my first post I basically stated that what Liang said was rubbish. Origami_itto said that it didn't make sense. And then Wayne said that his talk is better than what he does. ;D

So what he does must be really, really baaaaaaaaaaad. :o :o :o

....

Not that I would say that I agree with Wayne. I'll just let him do the insult. ;D

Gee ease up boys
All I pointed out was that he uses The same tricks all the foot slappers do
I may not have stated the second part well
What I meant was some of the stuff he puts out there is superior to what he shows
I did not mean it as an insult just a statement of what I see
If you put out as much stuff as he does and are on the seminar circuit you are open to review
If we say everyone is wonderful where is the advancement
Don't put power into the form let it naturally arise from the form

It was a fair comment, I am just joking around. I didn't think he was on point in this video, but it was a comment on this video only. In general, I do think that he sometimes confuses theories and concepts, but a part of it could have to do with a language problem. Personally I don't want to judge his performances or general skill and I think it would be better to meet up with him and make a first hand objective opinion. Liang seems like a kind fellow. Nuff said.

Alot of these concepts have become vague to me over the past 30+ years that I am in the fog. I will admit I failed to learn the lessons but again perhaps I learned it too well and have ignored them.
My association with Zhang Dungsheng MAY have clouded my judgement and perhaps functionality and utility showed me the way of "knowledge" where I see Liuhebafa (concept and method) as soemthing all CMA should have.

This is a sample of functional training!
