Why is tai chi so bad? What can be done about it?

Taijiquan, for the past century, has never been a martial art for the majority of practitioners becasuse they have never trained in the martial conditioning. The few who do are an exception.
Taijiquan today. currently, is old people exercise, yangsheng fitness, wellness and wellbeing and has some utiliity for complementary purposes in chronic disease.

below is one way of innoculating the fitness fellows interested in martial stuff by incorporating elements and functions of penglujiankao, translated as MMA qualities of throwing, grappling, ground techniques (newaza) of judo and even incorporating BJJ providing one sees similarities and uses for martial purposes. Here is something interesting I came across in understandable and proper English structure.

see, everyone loves taijiquan. even if we take tjq as a "purely external" art or as superficially as possible, it's certainly still helpful at judo and bjj ime.

Pretty sure this is the guy from Brisbane who was a student of mark rasmus
He was in Japan for a few years
So I think tai chi is his primary art
I think he call his stuff RAW
Don't put power into the form let it naturally arise from the form

I believe he markets Raw Silat as his primary art.

Why is tai chi so bad? What can be done about it?

Just get good and lead by example.

We must become the Tai Chi players we want to see in the world.

That's what I'm working on and what I tell the complainers. The quote there is the text that accompanies the video on youtube. I don't think much of what's displayed here.

I only just saw the first clip on this thread
Most of what these guys say is right
The only problem is they don’t have the tool box
In other words they haven’t been shown the correct training to get them to the point they desire
I note they don’t say where their art comes from
I would like to know their lineage
Don't put power into the form let it naturally arise from the form
