cracking is actually one of baoding SC's 3 keys:

撕 si1, tearing
崩 beng1, cracking. yes it's the same beng as beng quan. It means to burst something open from inside pressure. beng quan does this by jamming single fist into someone.
通 tong2 (not sure why it's pronounced 2nd tone, but it is), this is basically like punching, though there are many different ways to do it.

combining tearing with tong2, and you can get rid of most grips, and control an opponent's center of gravity. cracking is one of our signature/favorite moves.

Is the guy announcing in the very first video Matt Mollica? It sounds like his voice.
