Wu, Ma and Dongbei Baji each has it’s own flavor.
AFAIC, I look at :
1, Shoulder rolling to cover neck and head 藏頭勢, 項桿勁 for both defense and attack
2, Foot work with grinding force 碾銼勁 personally I don’t think sink stomping is good for the knee/ankle
For me these two is the basics.
A misconception of TCMA is that you be successful with first hit, this is not true, opponents move around with distance and timing is off 90% of the time. This is why Baji added Pigua to improve upon on footwork and long reach and Pigua added Baji to enhance the explosive power. But one need to separate for student these two when passing down knowledge.

Thanks for sharing, Andy.
I also do not think stomping is good for the legs

Let me share one more vid for what ppl like to do now:
use kungfu terms to make long essays, theoretical composition that lead to more nonsensical discussions

Thanks for sharing Strange. Yes, practice is essential.
I particularly love Master Hu’s concept of distraction, I guess he is influenced by one of Taiwan’s Baji school Master Zheng.

Andy, i heard from Pang Chao in one of his vids, he shared what his XY teacher shared.
I thought it's very interesting:

"东西练对了都一个样 东西练错了千差万别"
"The thing if trained correctly looks all the same; if the thing is trained wrongly there are thousand variations and ten thousand differences"

cheers
