Why not post clips of those who are successful....

"Taiji is a fighting art..."C K Chu"

Ben Lo, used to say taiji is a martial art.

"Something recent? "

anyway,,,IME there are people out there,,,just not very public about it..understanding what they practice
for and what it's about...

Why would you think I'd be asking someone who doesn't post here to post something here. It doesn't compute.

I don't understand what you're implying, could you perhaps speak directly?

It's amazing how delusional someone can be to believe they're exploring/developing/whatevering anything having to do with taiji when they violate the first directive of YCF's Ten Essentials, not just a little, or for just a second, but the entire time.

Talk about a taiji 'teacher' failing to show well, eh. Don't even have to click Play to see another one bite the dust:

And yet your recent postings of your teacher as having what you are seeking
wouldn't this include answers to questions about taiji usage..among fighters vs those who don't...

You posted a clip of someone who also doesn't post here showing a fail...

The org, question why not post clips of those showing what or how they use what they call taiji using it
with clips of those that have effectively.

The link shows those that have,,,You asked about a more recent example..

The suggestion concerning your teacher was that he might know of a more recent example...
To answer "your" question....

What does my teacher have to do with anything? He doesn't post here and isn't part of the conversation.

I am a firm believer of the utility of Taijiquan for self defense and practice it as a martial art suitable for dealing with violent conflict, though I prefer to avoid it at all costs.

That doesn't mean everyone who claims to practice it should be issuing challenges to seasoned fighters, myself included, which is why I abstain from the practice. I certainly don't take this person's failure personally.

I thought it was amusing. I don't believe I saw his hands rise above shoulder level the entire time he was demonstrating form or getting pummeled. It was clear he'd never stood across from somebody trying to hit him before.

But I welcome any clips of Taijiquan used successfully. I don't have access to any recent examples. Do you?

You misremember or I missed that part because I have no idea what you're talking about.

I’m sorry it wasn’t you that posted that link/interview, I really did misremembered….happens now and then.
However you were enthusiastically participating in that thread.

Here it is - https://rumsoakedfist.org/viewtopic.php ... 751a443824

A noteworthy example emerged during Alex’s push-hands practice with one student who had extensive experience in MMA, Wing Chun, and other martial arts. This student favored going for leg grabs, a common wrestling technique. However, Alex ingeniously adapted Tai Chi principles to counter these moves effectively.

Not exactly fighting I think it was, but your teacher highlighted the -MMA- of the other guy in a way that have the sounding that he now have the skill for the ring…….but it might just be me who read it wrong.
Anyway the Dong family claim a “long”tradition of actual fighting, from the first generation taking on boxers in Thailand
