Flawless Taiji Form

The modern Beijing forms are not my thing, but I thought this was an entrancing performance.

OK, OK, Master Wong would kick her legs off, smash every joint in her body, and leave her lying on the hard street like a pile of butchered flesh, but still...this IS beautiful.

I see a flaw:
when she does her split heel kicks (fen deng tui), her feet are 90 degree to her calf the entire time. like all the other techniques, the joints activate one at a time (jie jie guan chuan), and the ankle joint is no exception.

and her knee goes slightly past her toe in many of her bow stances.

I like her and her form but I like her performance of the simplified 24 form even better. I keep a copy on my ipod in case I need to review a move.

As much as people hate on this stuff, it is really beautiful to watch. I don't really care anymore if the stuff is real or not. As its been stated before, people practice these arts for a variety of reasons. If she enjoys it and keeps her in shape good for her. As far as presentation and performance goes, I agree with Andy...it was really beautiful.
