I think Mike's referring to the fact that in his later martial art years when Kumar would "play" martial arts he didn't do the kickboxing thing of trading a few shots stepping back and starting again, he'd basically have you on the floor or in pain or finish you after one move or two or three if you were lucky.
Although I do have some footage of when he was young and skinny sparring with Xingyi which is pretty cool, the older he got the less he focussed on fighting. So you don't see as much of that now, which is unfortunate but that's the direction he chose to go in.
