Ya so, he has some intense power there. I'm impressed, and must steal some of those moves..

Look out, this man knows martial arts. :)

He puts me in mind of the old saying, high skill is perfected basics.
I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.

Here are some things that I gather from the clip so far:

1) CB is aggressive and decisive.
2) Stepping is key for unbalancing and power delivery.
3) Arm position, even before touch, can be used to create openings and to force your partner into a particular position.
4) Chen taiji has the KIAI!!!

I think that guy is the best I've ever seen from Chen style!

I wonder what John Wang would say about his throws?

I have never heard before that the classics say the spine must be vertical to the earth, is that true?

He has some great throws and great position. That was really cool.

Can anyone say ragdoll? whats the weight difference there....100 pounds? so if Chen was pushing a guy his own weight, he could flip him right over the ring!

Hmm, not too sure they can be "stolen" because from what little I can see his "technique" is based in very good (and by far superior to his opponents) understanding of internal mechanics, without which these "moves" would never work. Just MHO.

GrahamB wrote:I wonder what John Wang would say about his throws?

That it would be a lot better/easier/more efficient/etc. if only he used legs.
