CLF rocks!

Here's that guy's teacher (I think...) giving a free lesson:

Both clips are very cool. Liked them a lot. Those whipping windmill strikes are awesome. 8-)

CLF is an interesting style because it blends elements found in both Northern and Southern systems. If I wanted to study a CMA system that'd teach me how to fight quickly, CLF is definitely on my list.

A hint of Thai flavor in that first clip.

Yes, CLF had a strong rep in HK in the 1980s as a good leitei syle...don't know if that holds true anymore, with so many sanda men adopting the more economical hand techniques of boxing to their repetoires, which, (theoretically, at least) allow them to land more punches, faster, than these longarm methods. As for da streetz: The most famous CMA fighting clip uses these very swinging arm punches for a KO.

Chap has integrated a nice fluid, left leg spin heel kick into his moves. That is something you don't often see outside KMA.

This may be his ( Sifu Thomas) school posted above- seem's there are quite a few CLF school's (different branches) in San Diego

GM Chen Yong Fa 18 dragons above.

GM Chan is a desendant of the CLF founder. His DVD's- are very good- not teaching tapes- but review type tapes. Shows what his system looks like.. A Great Shaolin system- you can tell his students are having fun learning and working hard for him and he is teaching his system out. I think he has six DVD's out now. HK flicks had them in the past for a very reasonable price.

I always like going back to CLF when Tai Chi and Hsing-I are too difficult and depressing - it's like a breath of fresh air ;D
