cool, to my uneducated eyes, that looks alot like a baji elbow. Nothing better than unorthadox strikes. That's part of why I like CMA's so much.

Goodnight!

Sweet, a very unorthodox (at least, from an MT perspective) way to throw the elbow, but fully orthodox in CMA.

Wonder who this chap is/what he does?

Looks like he was doing a nice little something-that-finisehed-with-Ram Muay at the end.

That's a Muay Thai elbow #4 (lower down and arch under the chin). I love to follow up that elbow with a number 5 elbow (right after the #4 step slightly off angle spin and land the opposite elbow to the nose).
I think Silva started training Muay Thai at the age of 5 or 7.

It's stuff like this that reinforce my template for reverse enginering Baji with Muay Thai.

He may be a Muay Thai guy

But I definitely wouldn't say it's only a Muay Thai elbow

Also comes straight from Chens Taiji

Great to see in action-thanks for the clip

lol.

We kind of touched on this before. If you freeze-frame it right at 3 seconds where it lands, pretty much a classic "ding zhou shi". Second move in Xiao Baji. (at least how I learned it)

I've only been to 1 MT seminar before and that elbow was shown. I like it.

It's Anderson "Spider" Silva... Only one of the most dominating strikers(primarily Muay Thai) in MMA... With a BJJ black belt.

Omar,
You'll have to find me an example in Baji?
