various Yue Jia Quan related sets

Something's been bothering me as I do research on Ba Shan Fan / Ba fan Men / Yue Jia Quan and related sets.

Why are the movements of these sets also found done same way in form and function in:
- Yang Tao JI Yi Lu,
- Wu tai ji Quan
- the tong bei sets that Dr. Yan has been talking about that came from Henan in Dong Cheng's linage
- Tai Zhu Chang Quan
- Shaolin Rou Quan?

Wang Xin Wu's book "Yue Shi Ba Fan Shou" discusses the origins.
Wang's teacher, Ji Zixiu , was the first to combine the Ba Fan Shou and Yang Ban Hou style Taiji. In the early 19th Century, Wang Xin Wu studied Ba Fan Shou and Yang style taiji from Ji Zixiu, Xu Yusheng, and Wu Jian Quan (founder of Wu’s style taiji)! [Wang Xinwu (1890-1964) learned from Xu Yusheng (1879-1945) (who learned from Yang Jianhou), son of Yang Luchan (1799-1872).
So, Wang further modified the Ba Fan Shou with Wu and Yang tai ji movements.

The reason they did this was because they saw the movements in the Ba Fan Shou were also expressed in the tai ji sets.
SO, the simply reorganized the order of the Ba Fan Shou movements in the 24 rows so that they follow the sequence of movements in the Yang and Wu TJQ sets. They didn't change the movements they only put them in a new order, one that matched the sequence seen in the TJQ sets. See? The movements already matched, they just reorganized.

These Ba Fan Shou, Ba Shan Fan, Yue Jia Quan sets all are kinda like the applications to TJQ sets, but with some XY type material also in it.

"The origins of Bafanquan trace back to the Song dynasty, however the boxing manuals and theories date back only to the Ming Dynasty (1368 AD to 1644 AD). During the Ming period there was book "Jixiao Xinshu" thought to be around 1560 AD by General Qi Jiguang, which already included in Chapter 14, Bashanfan as boxing style of the time.
In accordance to the Bafanquan manuals, during the Ming dynasty a Master Wang Zhiquan had been taught the boxing by a mountainous wanderer. It is said that Master Wang was an accomplished warrior but had become injured in battle in a remote part of the area in what is currently Shandong province. It was here that the wanderer had assisted with Master Wang's injuries and was taught the methods of Bafanquan to improve his already good martial skills.
The style then passed to down various generations in the Northern provinces such as Henan, Hebei and Shandong."

So, see the strange relationship? IF Dr. Yan's Dong Cheng's Tong Bei was origin of TJQ roots, why does Ba Fan Shou/Yue Jia Quan material also follow like TJQ and this Tong Bei?
All the Ba Shan Fan sets / Yue Jia Quan are considered older than the Tong bei of Dong Cheng, or at least developed along the same time and same places.
Ba Shan Fan / Yue Jia Quan system has 5 Elements, 6 Harmonies, 12 animals, and very big on the breath and moving of Chi during the movements, it's a very "internal" style.

Keep in mind that at full speed Ba Fan Shou / Yue Jia Quan sets look more like XY action, but when slowed down to TJQ speed, you can see the similarity to TJQ movements (which might also imply that one can make a map that links XY movements to TJQ movements that are equivalent in form and function). Same is true for Tong Bei sets that are of Dong Cheng's inage, at full speed you can't really see the connection to TJQ, but slowed down they are clear.

Well here's some videos to look at, just so you get an idea of what some of the sets look like, just scattered examples of the style found online:

This is how the 24 rows of Ba Fan Shou were mapped to TJQ:

I'll give the Row number in Ba Fan Shou and the equivalent movements in TJQ, from which you can see that it follows along 99% of sequence of the TJQ long (yi lu) set (which also means it follows the Tai Zu Chang Quan set, and all the Shaolin Nei Gong and Rou Quan sets - see my comparison chart on my website: http://www.bgtent.com/naturalcma/CMAart ... nChart.htm ).

Row 1 YSBFS = Opening salute / Jin Gang Pounds Mortar (although this row 'looks' much more like first row of most 10 Tan Tui forms).
Row 2 YSBFS = Lan Zha Yi, Liu Feng Si Bi, Dan Bian
Row 3 = Jin Gang Pounds Mortar, Bai He Liang Qi
Row 4 = Xi Xing, Lou Xi Ao Bu, Yan Shou Hong Quan
Row 5 = Pie Shan Quan, Qing Long Chu Hai, Shuang Tui Shou
Row 6 = Zhou Di Kan Chui, Dao Juan Gong, Bai He Liang Qi
Row 7 = Xie Xing, Hai Di Zhen, Shan Tong Bei, Yan Shou Hong Quan
Row 8 = Liu Feng Si Bi, Dan Bian, Yun Shou, Gao Tan Ma

Row 9 = You Ca Jiao, Zuo Ca Jiao, Zhi Di Quan
Row 10 = Hu Xin Quan
Row 11 = Yan Shou Hong Quan, Xia Qin Da, Bao Tou Tui Shan
Row 12 = Liu Feng Si Bi, Dan Bian, Qian Zhao, Hou Zhao
Row 13 = Yie Ma Fen Zhong, Yu Nu Chuan Suo, Bai Jiao Die Cha, Jin Ji Du Li
Row 14 = Dao Juan Gong, Bai He Liang Qi, Xie Xing
Row 15 = Gao Tan Ma, Zhi dang Chui, almost like Hai Di Zhen)
Row 16 = Yuan Hou Xian Guo, Qi Xing (7 Star), Diagonal Slant (Kou Hu - ride tiger)

Some of the following rows are done in a different sequence than TJQ Yi Lu, but only slightly:
Row 17 = (movement is done that is like XY Monkey + Tai Bird< which is also seen in Yang Shao Hou's Small Frame, always before a kick, which is done in the the following move!)
Row 18 = Zhuan Shen Bai Lian, Dang Tou Pao
Row 19 = Wan Gong She Hu (Bend bow shoot tiger) as found in Li's 13 Posture set, Original 13 posture set, and Wu Fast set (but not Chen TJQ)!
Row 20 = Que Di Long (earth dragon)
Row 21 = Shuang Bao Chui
Row 22 = Dan Bian, Liu Feng Si Bi
Row 23 = Ying Mian Zhang - Greet Face Palm (SAME as only seen in Wu Jian Huan style Fast set ending, as in their
Row 24 = Fan Shen Pie Shen Chui (again as only seen at end of Wu fast set), Jin Gang Dao Dui

Most interesting is that at during the last rows of the YSBFS set, it follows not what the traditional Chen Yi Lu does, but instead what the Wu Fast Set and the 13 Postures sets do. Also what I noticed is that the movements as they are done in Yue Shi Ba Fan Shou favor more the approach of SMALL Frame TJQ, especially Yang Shao Hou's set.
Which means what?
