I won't comment on the level of skill being displayed (mostly because I'm not sure I'd do that much better) but at least the rules are not the wimpy "you used too much strength" rules you see in US tourneys.

The championships are arranged by Dan Docherty's Practical Tai Chi Chuan organisation. That is why the rules are not "wimpy". It looks fun. I have tried to go ther quite a few years now just to have a look, but I have never had the time.

It was organized by us - PTCC people - yes, but the rules are agreed upon by the TCFE and very similar to all the previous Championships within the TCFE (http://www.tcfe.org).They are by no means "PTCC rules".

Didn't say that the rules are PTTC rules, just that you would not choose any rules that goes against your own tjq "philosophy".
