Fight Commentary Breakdowns
Published on Aug 9, 2018

Xu Xiaodong (徐晓东), our Chinese MMA mad dog, came out with a vlog explaining what happened at the MMA gym and his reaction to the spar session. According to him, the four "A-level" kickboxers that he sparred went too hard. To Xu, they used too much power for sparring. Let's examine the footage and critique his claim. Leave your comment and let us know what you think. In my humble opinion, he's just making excuses. However, in the video that I found, we learn more the backstory behind these fights at Da Dong Hang (大东航) MMA. He did not go challenge them without their permission. According to Xiaodong, it was agreed upon three days in advance to be a friendly spar session:

Seems like things escalated after Xu tripped that guy. That took it to another level, and the other guys seemed to follow suit.

It's good for him, if he goes back. Getting used to "too hard" will mean that facing the merely "hard" will be easier. :) That all assumes that he continues. If he quits, he'll never win --if that's what he wants.
