Yup, them Qing imperials where totally hooked on wudang martial arts. Taiji, Bagua, and now this, and probably more to come....Wonder which is the “best” style.....Did Yang Luchan and Dong Haichuan ever meet in the imperial Qing corridors, maybe a friendly challenge fight is recorded somewhere..

At least, whatever they did, it certainly didn’t have a modern expression that is a mix of contemporary Chen style expression and modern Wushu.

It is good to know that Mo Ye Zhen 莫叶眞 has students to promote Taixuquan in Canada,. In Guangzhou, there is also a similar Manchurian development which is also very popular and attracted many Taixuquan practitioners. The founder is Jian Guo Hong 简国洪. He claims that it was an improvement of Internal Martial Arts by the Manchurian bullwhip cracking techniques.

I’m not sure, but I think the Manchurian whips are more like this: https://www.sstack.com/product/wonder-whip-halter-whip-with-lash/
And less/ not anything like Indiana Jones’ bullwhip.
