Meh. The choke over the chin works too - it just breaks your jaw. Happens in MMA all the time. People still tap before the break but some brave fools refuse (Watch the Damien Maia gruesome bleeding through the nose choke video).

Or you choke their face and it hurts so much you want to give the neck, like Sakuraba:



His point about the heights is valid though - hard to RNC somebody taller than you when standing, but you can always kick the back of their knee/step backwards to lower them first.

For no other purpose then to derail this thread, Ramsey Dewey is a so-so contemporary dancer. He's a little too stiff for my liking.

All this choking revelations you guys having here from watching choke vids or being BJJ practitioners “late” in life sounds quite surprising. When we where boys(at least in my neighborhood) that’s how a playground “fight” usually ended with one had to give up because got locked in a strangle hold till it began to feel “difficult”(and face color changed)sometimes some adult/parent that happened to passé by and see us had to intervene.……Yes, I know I sound as out of an Monty Python sketch but that’s how it was.
