Beautiful. This is why when people describe some fighting as 'Just kickboxing' it always makes me smile.

Futher, that inside shin kick is f****** painful. :o

No, internal would be striking over the jab , connecting with his lead to his core. That would instead shake his structure/balance, allowing you to “cut kick” his forward leg while continueing forward with the next step, whatever that may be, your choice.
Internal concept: he moves you get there first. The idea: connect and control his core. The training: tui shou.
Internal monkey is the trickster, not the mimick ;D
