I've just been in Singapore where I've been filming my own interview series. Here is the first episode, hope you enjoy it! Any feedback is welcome!

They have mantis as part of their curriculum

I enjoyed it! Seems like your friend's teacher really enjoys learning and practicing. The influx of mainland China teachers like Zhu Tiancai and others definitely seems to have made a big change in Singapore's CMA circles!

I met one Chen taiji and seven star mantis guy in Singapore long ago (Xu Jinge) - I thought your video might have been about him! His mantis is very fast! (Told me mine wasn't authentic, which is true!)

Thanks! Yep, there is a big influx of northern styles via mainland teachers now. The rest of the series is focused on old skool southern styles and Silat.

Damn, I didnt know Strange was based there! Next time I'll make sure to post here before I travel!

Wow.. Master foo shung wee. Its great to see a teacher that I can also consider a great friend on here. i stayed at his house about 13 years ago. great guy and martial artist.

I like this teacher's Mantis more than his Taiji.
