From looking at their website and a couple of their other videos, it seems like the purpose of this "Contact Flow" drill is to develop the ability to move, cover, block, and hit against someone who is hitting and continuing to hit you. IMHO this is a good attribute to develop (especially from a mental point of view - so that we don't freeze due to information overload/ a disrupted OODA loop).

This page describes a bit about Guided Chaos' history and approach to training:

I've run into a handful of them in the push hands community and, let me say this carefully, have not been overly impressed. Some interesting angles and "strikes" but not much strength behind them, and not much root. I had one that actually got so unsettled during an exchange that I completely detached and he was standing there wobbling and about to fall over for a good 3-5 seconds.

Was hoping maybe somebody here had some experience with them to compare notes.

I wasn't to impressed with the video either (to me it looked like sloppy Hubud-Lubud with level changes.) But it's impossible to judge the quality of a system from just one video.

I too am interested to hear from others who have direct experience with them.

Best,
Greg

PS - I hope your training is off to a good start in 2019!

Or even one or two people who practice it, they might just be lower level or just shitty.
