Erle has even said that the original name of Tai Chi was Dim Mak. But why then did he have to make up his own system? How did he know that his homemade shit worked? He made up so much and stated so many strange and contradicting things.

Michael Babin who used to post here joined up with his org.

Discussed Erle a little bit with Michael. "Teamed up with" would maybe be a more proper statement than "joined". He co-wrote a book with Erle and became an assistant teacher. But as I've understood there were always many things they didn't agree with, too many discrepancies in view. Mr Babin is a very commonsensical, rational man so I guess it was only a question of time.

It's always hard when the subject of Erle comes up
I am caught between telling what I know and talking about someone who is no longer here who can't put his side
I knew Erle better than most as we were the main teachers in Sydney
Tony his main student was a regular visitor to my classes
The thing that the subject Erle allows is for me to assess people on this site by what they have observed about him

Interesting perspective. FWIW I thought he was a nice guy and I found it impressive that he could extrapolate all he did from what he learned or taught himself.

The only niggle I had with him was the same as with the management types at work, I wonder if they go home to their families and be honest with them or if they continue to tell tall tales like they do at work.
