nhk classical martial arts

Been streaming NHK programming which has tons of free content. Standouts have been a documentary on a Thai rice farmer that uses ducks to clear pests and a lady who has developed extremely life like prosthetics.

ugh.

I saw some flashes of 'classical ma' in a montage or two.

But the bulk was Yoshinori Kono and/or Bujinkan stuff... decidedly not 'classical', and not particularly respected in the 'classical' ma world.

We cannot expect TV studios to be connoiseurs of martial arts on the other hand!

Unfortunately Kono is more "out there" as he actively promotes himself, while other more traditional arts are happy to stay in the shadows...

I will take a look later anyway!
