Got it! Don't do crapy wing chun. Do TKD and wrestling instead.

Have you seen the videos of Pyat Storon Sveta? Lots of TKD drills, and none that I have seen in traditional CMA schools. Cung Le's fighting is also far more informed by his foundation in wresting and TKD.

Got it! CMA dude gets up and tells the world "I do Sanshou" and also mentions "oh & other stuff". Does well so people say "it must be the other stuff".

Much like in boxing/kickboxing the sanda/shou schools vary in their training methods. To the extent where it is viewed as the trade secrets of the coach/club.

The point - this a reflection on how to compete to sharpen skills. As a template for competition sanda generates successful fighters. The other version may have been WC but it seems like a not so good way to test skills (or they really need to practise more).

Here's some amateurs doing CMA in a sports format that seems sensible.

The concept of 'pressure testing' is lacking in CMA and because of that, reality checks are few and far between!
The lineage tradition has become appeasement and that downgrades a lineage, despite what those who offer said lineage offers. Can it withstand the discipline and dedication of true CMA practitioners who despite not having illustrious lineage X, shows skills that can and does excel that of lineage. Just saying ;D ???
