Years ago I learned the 83 form of Wu TJQ, this was in Beijing. However this form seem to count to 108 in southern parts of China.

Anyone here that got a video link(Chinese tubes) to an good 108 form performance?

Many thanks.

This is my favorite. It is a modified version. I think it was modified for video but it is all there. Well almost. Some of it is removed but seventy percent or more is there. It would be nice to find a full length video from someone like Wu Ying Hua but I yet to find something online as valuable as this.

Thanks, but I can’t see YouTube or Youtu.be, so I asked for an on the Chinese tubes video. You got a name of the performer in your linked vid ?
The videos I found so far(although not searching too hard) I feel not up to par with the “northern” Wu I experienced(I’m not claiming here anything as “north is better than south”)

I hear you. I have heard both sides. I don't really think it is a big deal just different variations on the same theme.

I like my Shanghai Wu.

The video I posted is of Wu Ying Hua. It is in black and white and has 2/3 of the form as I recall. There is another video from that time of her husband Ma Yue Liang doing the fast form. If you find one the other should be close by.

But still mostly good enough to get an impression of the movement quality, what he's doing with his core and how it transmits to the periphery. :D

Interesting to compare with the Wu Ying Hua video. I like both, but the feeling is different in some respects.

PS. I think you mean Cheng Tin Hung's uncle. ;)

Ok the vid I initially found was not in black and white footage and she performs in an indoor stadium seemingly, that performance a liked and is in tune with what I learned in Beijing...but then I found “the” black and white footage performance, that form is different, some moves excluded and foot work/turning different, a simplified exercise which wouldn’t train some physical coreaspects even if practiced over a long time.
