Wumei Quan (Ng Mui Kuen in Cantonese) is a style that attributes it's creation to the Shaolin nun who in southern Chinese folklore was one of the five survivors of the burning of the Shaolin Temple. In this three part series, I meet with Shane Francis, a disciple of the late Antony Wee from Singapore, to learn about this interesting and unique art. Today there are several diverse branches of this art, which can be found in Fujian province, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and New York.
