Our Wing Chun pressure tester Qi La La had three recent stress tests of his wingchun/xingyi liuhe hybrid kungfu system. First match he entered an open-weight kickboxing tournament and took on three heavyweight kickboxers. This is one of his matches. He's also been sparring Muay Thai guys and a bajiquan person we featured before. Let's see what lessons we can learn from his wing chun and kungfu tests. Shoutout 奇拉拉. Didn’t see too much WC
He seems to pick his opponents pretty well

Why do these guys even mention style names? If you can't recognize the body method or stylistic expression of a specific martial art, what's the point of labeling what's shown as something nobody would probably guess it to be otherwise? It mostly looks like what the vast majority of kickboxers or MMA guys everywhere do in the ring, imo. ::)

Because, those are the styles they have been training in for years? Qi La La's lineages are shown in this previous RSF thread, "Kung Fu Clash:."

You have a point. One may not recognize the body method or stylistic expression that are trained and demoed—in a fight (e.g., because of aliveness, timing, efficiency(?), distance). However, labeling the style may be a matter of opinion (e.g., using concepts, principles, etc.). Qi La La is likely to say he is fighting with Wing Chun and Xinyi Liuhe.

He can say what he likes but if it’s not there it’s not there
