Three - section staff vs *

When I was taught flexible weapons like the 3 Section Staff and the Rope Dart, we wore motorcycle helmets with a full face guard, kendo style chest protectors, elbow and knee pads, and groin cups to minimize the inevitable injuries which occur while initially learning how to control such weapons. I shudder to think about receiving even worse injuries while learning without the protective equipment.

That's even better than a football helmet (maybe more pricey LOL). Saw a number of wacked knees, elbows, and "dented" heads in the old days - knew this wasn't for me! LOL

I set it to the time of the demonstration involving the 3 section staff - like I said, the guy cracks his uke (who is his daughter I think) in the face, drawing blood. Pretty strange enbu - 3 section staff is not something seen in JMA, however the demonstrator is from a line of Yoshin ryu, which famously had strong Chinese influences.
