Well, it's not really confucian confucianism which is called rujia, but Neo-confucianism, which is called Songxue, or the School of Song (dynasty). Neo confucianism, or rather Zhu Xi, resurrected confucianism as the state philosophy. The morality stuff was still confucianism, much based on Mengzi's view on that Man is born good. But their view on the universe, cosmology and science was built on Daoism and Daoist concepts. So they also had their own interpretation of the Dao.
