As promised, the second part of the interview translation and analysis. This is Ma Baoguo, the famed Tai Chi and Xingyi "master" who dodged a Xu Xiaodong challenge match in 2017 and then came back in 2020 to take on a MMA hobbyist named Qingming. Let's see what Ma says about that Peter Irving footage that circulated in 2017. For some reason, even in 2021 when this interview took place, that kungfu vs mma film session between Baoguo and Peter still seems to generate debate about its validity. If you like these translations, please consider becoming a channel member to support this type of in-depth analysis and investigative journalism. Also, interview with Peter Irving to come!

The final epilogue to the Ma Baoguo saga. This is a little translation from a 20 minute interview of Ma Baoguo. In 2017, Ma, a self-proclaimed Xingyi and Tai Chi Master, and Xu Xiaodong, the MMA Mad Dog, were supposed to have a match, but someone reported to the authorities and the match was canceled last minute. In 2020, Ma re-emerged to challenge MMA hobbyist WangQingMin and the result was one of the biggest cringes in martial arts history. Now, recovered from his injuries, Ma in 2021 reflects on what happened from his perspective. Do you think his interpretation and excuse is the correct one? Let us know in the comments! Do you want more Ma Baoguo interview translation?

Some more research for you guys (clips we referenced and analyzed):

Naturally I'm included towards the obvious conclusion that this guy is obviously delusional, however, on balance I'd say he's less delusional than somebody who got elected as president of the United States, and more honest than the last prime minister of the United Kingdom, so what the fuck do I know anymore?

Ma's delusions of grandeur are clearly evidenced by the obvious fact that he lacks even the most basic self-defense skills, much less the fundamental skills needed to engage in a full contact challenge match or ring bout. :o

He has no credibility of any kind whatsoever remaining after such a dismal performance, imo, and no amount of similarly deluded excuses can ever change those facts. Most people will now always think of him as Candle Ma, just one good blow and he was out. ::)
