Yeah, it's pretty interesting showing real use. However, I don't know if I agree that the long outstretched movements have to do with a "performance based focus". Nowadays maybe performance is the focus. But the original exercises are there to learn how to stretch the body from the back and open the joints. Internally speaking, the smaller "functional frame" should be about the same as the larger frame.
