You still don't understand that behind whatever system there is, it's all the same. Just different ways, attempts to organize it.

Meh, you also misunderstood my riposte to your lame argument that you can't explain topic A by utilizing knowledge from topic B and vice versa.

How does Yoga even break Tai Chis principles? What kind of yoga are you talking about? Do you think I'm suggesting people slither in Cobra pose on the ground?

Does Yoga limit people? Does Tai Chi?

And what else do you think my verbiage was trying to convey but the fact that Tai Chi is simple?

Actually it's you who's making Tai Chi out to be something so mysterious it can never be grasped by anyone. Go figure.

I wish you success in lying down your misguided pride. Or think of me as pompous, full of myself, misguided and stepping over my words.

Peace :-)

Just look at any asana
If you can’t see where it breaks tai chi principles there in no point discussing it

Sorry but loooool.

If you think any singular asana or any sequence of those are supposed to represent what Yoga really is, then... Dunno. Don't want to go down that trail of thought.

Corpse pose (lying on your back, nothing more) isn't called the most difficult asana for no reason by some.

Allow a obviously misguided youngster his peace of mind while frolicking on the flower trail.

It's getting late here, 2 AM. Got 2nd shift tomorrow.

Mucho blessings Mister Hansen and thanks for all the stimulating conversations on this board :-)

So here's what I'm seeing here, Quigga

You're saying tai chi is just like yoga
Then you say that the thing we do in tai chi (alchemy of refinement of the three jewels of taoism) is not what you do in yoga

Have I basically summarized your position accurately? For clarity.
The form is the notes, the quan is the music

I didn’t say any asana represented yoga
What I did say is that in any asana you can see where it violates the tai chi principles
In other words it is a whole different Shen Fa

No, I was saying that the refinement of 3 jewels is also what Yoga does. And what Islam - surrender to God - also does.

But most styles of Tai Chi would never mention the 3 jewels (publically), so it's a moot point.

The same thing behind the scenes, but looks different to everybody else because they focus on different aspects of it.

And when the Yoga or whatever practitioner is done and just stands there, does it break any principles?

Come to think of it, no one has to agree with me :-) Everybody's different.

Perhaps I should have adhered to:

'Stay silent and give yourself benefit of doubt of not being a idiot. Talk, and maybe unfortunately confirm such suspicions.'

Haha! Or to quote President Abraham Lincoln..."Sometimes it is far better for a man to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open his mouth and remove all doubt." ;D

At the end of the day, opinions vary greatly, but the individual opinion which can be validated through effective personal demonstration remains rare. Thus, it is usually better to have less thunder in the mouth and more lightning in the hands. 8-)

Fist under the elbow is not about the fist
Just like the sentence is not about the full stop …..
