I still think Chuo Jiao could be among the best of the TMAs for self defense in the west. Most people in the west don't think about their feet very much, and I imagine it's very difficult to continue an assault if someone kicks your ankle in half.

Glad you said most, because our basic praying mantis training was kicks & more kicks ad nauseum - however, the shadow or dart kick pretty useful tool (ankle shots) - not familiar enough with the practice of those in the clips - having said that, limitations up front, many of them seem to to display a lot of arm and shoulder isolated movements out of sync with lower body kicking
