amateur practices til gets right pro til can't get wrong

I have expierenced the whiplash from a similar technique
Don't put power into the form let it naturally arise from the form

Off the Rise drill fall and overturn in Xingyiquan there is a similar action.
The follow up I usually go in for: After the snap down, I slide my hand up & snitch my hand in the bend of the elbow, grab his wrist with the other hand, and project downwards behind him. Learned that one from Ralston about 2 decades ago.. It's sweet projection throw One of my favs. There is a nice throw stemming from the resistance to countering the projection also... but that's for a different day
