Don't put power into the form let it naturally arise from the form

I notice this thing in Chinese martial arts - people are always talking about the "misunderstanding" of others - that word keeps cropping up.

You don't find it in other martial arts - like I don't see Silat people talking about the misunderstandings of others, or Karate people talking about misunderstanding as much.

Just an observation because this guy does it a lot. Perhaps it's because in things like Yi Quan it is not obvious what you're doing all the time.

He is talking about better ways of understanding I chuan and quoting the originator
You must be not listening if you think people doing WC or Karate don’t talk about the misunderstanding of others within their own art

It's most commonly phrased like "no it's not that at all they have it all wrong"
"Well... what is it then?"
"I can't tell you."
"Okay, show me."
"I can't show you."
"Where can I learn about it?"
"Nobody knows it but me."

I don’t really like the way he moves but what he says has real value

Honestly, I gave it 3 minutes and didn't hear anything interesting.

I actually listened to several of his videos. I like his attitude. And yeah, he shares some interesting ideas.

About Yiquan, when it came in vogue loads of ppl and teachers of other martial arts without actually having trained in yiquan began to copy, but only surface wise and guessing how to.
It was not even misunderstandings but rather pure fabrications and guessings pushed as a real thing.

Just as how "Shaolin" has been treated and served as various forms of Mcdojo.

I know I have a disability, information density is critical. 3 minutes to introduce the point isn't about the information, it's about enjoying the sound of your own voice. Gimme text, I'll ask questions to clarify

A bit unfair. But I liked the following two videos better than this one.
