He used to be a bouncer at the pub I used to hang at here in Auckland in the 80s and he was always really easy to talk too - not a hint of any attitude or agro, a very humble gen nice guy.

if Blondie had stepped into his punch Thunder may have at least felt it, he also would have stepped past the arc of Thunder's hook , course he would have had to of been aware of the uppercut following

I like how some of the really good guys don't do any of that idiotic "stare-down" BS at the beginning, don't even meet the eyes... And then go and feckin' destroy their opponents.

Reminds me of my boxing training, but I can't quite put my finger on why that is....

There is some boxing and karate influence in Valentin's school.

Also, good fighting is good fighting, and self defense principles don't vary much from dojo to dojo (e.g. try to KO at the first sign of trouble). I just happened to learn them from RMAs.
