As I watch this series, I am impressed once more by Lam's ability to hit the high points, and not explain anything that you cannot get from a video. So too in his books, he never goes into areas he cannot make plain in print. Would that all martial arts writers would recognize the limitations of secondhand media!

What this means is you don't get the whole enchilada, but what he says, and shows, you can reasonably expect to learn.
