while i was hanging out at decatur square before my bagua class i had the pleasure of watching this.







i like how the teacher is showing to lock the foot and to push the top.

There's no doubt about it - capoeira looks like the most fun martial art ever.

lots of smiles and laughing in there training. it really looks fun.
the teacher was speaking in portuguese so i have no idea what he was saying but he seemed to have a very specific body method and i think did a great job of showing it to his students.

the sweeps he was showing were pretty cool.

it also gave me a chance to try out my new little hd camera. its a sony hd mhs-pm1 for about 150 bucks ...

IMO( and from experience) it is. If you have some IMA and understand open body postures and how to separate and connect the joints at will, I think you can take the capoeira into IMA realms.

Just no other MA that incorporates aspects of dance and music like capoeira. I miss my days with Nego Gato.
