The bafa (eight methods) here is very like the bafa of the southern fist.

I've seen some different LHBF - but that's as different as you can get.
The LHBF form I practise & from what I've seen starts & moves progessively to the left.
He started at the left near the wall & moved right.
I didn't like how he said he was teaching it - but has only learnt the first section ...........................
