James McNeil Xingyi Apps

was up late watching MA vids on the 'tube and happened upon this new clip of James McNeil, recently uploaded, courtesy of chrisl38. I'll say it again, Sifu McNeil is the bomb. His website kicks ass too. All 70s pimpstyles. lol

It was edited from Sifu McNeil's old teaching series by my student Andy French (with Sifu McNeil's permission). The series is now on dvd from www.littlenineheaven.com and I still think it is pretty good for learning no-nonesense hsing I fighting.

Just a few of the fun bits, we are probably going to do a couple more over the next few weeks.

Yes, a bit of the splashing hands is definitely creeping into his footwork. Chang's influences are interesting, but otherwise very TST in execution.

On a more serious note, it would be interesting to brainstorm how the hell does that get to happen in the first place. Good subject over a beer or two, Felipe?

agreed. Yeh his xing yi form looks very strange to my eyes. But by all accounts the dude can lay his shit down when he needs ...so what do i know!
