Olbermann and Mathews Demoted at MSNBC

Thier blatently biased coverage gets them banned from "Election Night" hard news anchor spots, but don't worry ...

... they can still spew their bile on their "Opinion Programs". ;D

The right wing media control scores again. Geesh, we got two guys out of 100's (and their both on a low ratings station MSNBC) who are liberal minded on TV and look what happens. They get muzzled. No, there isn't any right wing media bias, none at all :o)))

I know right?

Let's just watch Fox News instead so we can all be brainwashed by the "Fair and Balanced".

I like Chuck Todd better than them, but I wish Tim Russert was still alive.

I agree that Olbermann's a tool, but how is he less of a tool than the people you find on Fox?

Frankly it's all shit and it's all propaganda.

Read Marshall McCluhan if you have any doubts whatsoever of the state of media in developed countries. It's all an arm of the "government" and serves as a propaganda engine.

If you are lapping that shit up, then you are being lied to on a consistent basis and eventually you won't be able to tell the difference even when some truth is inserted.

dreck. Why do you think there is no more cable access? What do you think the mandate of the FCC is? The Crtc? Is there really any such thing as free speech? freedom of the press? These are all distractions to have you continue to eat all the shit that makes you think it's ok for there to be obscenely rich people who never did a thing for it other than to be born into it. The real wealth of the world is not that of teh wunderkinds like Gates. It is old money and it rules over us all and we sleep like idiots on sinking ships.

cest la vie. I'm not buying any of it. America is a 2 party dictatorship and has been so for more than 50 years. It lost its way long ago.

What with the 200 billion bail out of freddy and fanny, you are now becoming a nationalized socialist state under a so called "republican" government. what a joke.

No one believes in free markets when they are failing as badly as americas is. what a fecking joke and the jokes on all of us.

Refuse to buy in. You'll feel better and maybe we can actually get somewhere.

Don't vote for any of these fuckers, let em wonder where everyone is.
Disassemble now and move ahead! As a people not as a state member or part member. Tribal shit is where they want you to stay. Good and stupid. The idea is as old as politics themselves. Keep your heads empty and your bellies full that way, you will do nothing and be the complacent idiot that is easy to control and tax and press down under the thumbs of the few.

Now go vote for whichever puppet you like. It will not change a thing.

Olberman was the ONLY person in the entire corporate controlled US mainstream TV media that bothered to report the fact that Dick Cheney had proposed building mock Iranian PT boats, dressing up Navy Seals as Iranians, and then having them (US Navy Seals) kill American sailors in the Strait of Hormuz in order to provide a pretext for the US/Israel war on Iran. The ONLY one. And he was right to show disgust at the RNC using Twin Towers 9-11 video during their convention. Whatever faults he has, I don't know because I only see him on youtube clips when he is accurately reporting on Bush or Cheney's crimes, he still has more guts and integrity than apparently any other TV broadcasters in the entire USA.

He's a corporate shill like the rest of them Michael.

He vents and then goes nowhere giving people the idea that there is actually free speech.

This is what I mean by not knowing even when small amounts of truth are given.

Thanks for the comment. I don't understand your last sentence, but maybe I just missed the reference to something you posted previously.

There has to be an illusion of free speech in order to tout the construct in general as a democracy.
In Truth, it is not.

Olbermann is yet another corporate shill inasmuch as that is what he does.
Outside of his job, does he do anything to forward the ideas of democracy, or does he serve as a tool of complaint who puts up an appearance of valid dissent?
I personally believe it is the latter of the two.

Thanks for the clarification, Darth. I don't know if Olbermann is a shill, I don't know that much about him, but I agree with him on several specific things that I saw him report. Generally speaking though, I would be surprised if anyone in US mainstream TV media were not a corporate shill, so the odds are against him, but based on what I have seen him report, I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Damn, Kissenger is the first close-up shot out of the video. Even as they lie to you from behind their corporate shills, there showing you the truth. :-[
