LHC Turned on Today!

The Large Hadron Collider (aka the Large Goddamn Hadron Fucking Collider, aka the device that will more than likely end the world, assuming we dont get eaten by Nanobots, is being turned on today (today being 8:15am on Wednesday UK time). They arent going to smash anything into anything yet, they are merely going to test if the accelerator actually works on a single particle.

Yay for science! :D

YEAH!

Smack them particles! Smack them silly! Make them give up their secrets. (While opposed in principle to torture, I think a particle is under no ruling legal authorithy.) ;)
I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.
