I read a book about that once.
I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.

They have a sixth sense that gives them a rather different point of view of the world from us 
Unfortunately, they are still called "fish" in Japan (I saw them in a poster that said "fish are good to eat")... along with sperm whales and other cetaceans, who are also apparently fish.
