Jess OBrien Is An Elderly Chinese Man!!

My goodness Jess, how you've changed since I last saw you! It seems that Jess is now an elderly Chinese gentleman bearing a remarkable resemblance to Chen Pan Ling's eldest son Chen Yun Chao. At least that's the case if one is to believe the captions under the photos in the article on Chen Pan Ling in the latest issue of Inside Kung Fu.

In several photos of Chen Yun Ching and his older brother Chen Yun Chao, the listing refers to them as "Chen Yun Ching and Jess OBrien"....

Mr. Chen was very generous in allowing my interview, and this is how I repay him. Wow. That hurts big time. All the interviewees in my book trusted me to treat them with respect, and that was something I did my best to honor. Now IKF has flushed a lot of goodwill down the toilet. Assholes!!!!!

Chen Yun-ching likely hasn't heard yet. Even when he does, I doubt he'll do anything other than chuckle. He will be asked about it during the upcoming tour in the US, though. Do you want me to mention it to him? I can explain the situation in Chinese.

Right. It's up to IKF to print a public retraction. Then, that issue can also be sent to the persons in question.
It wasn't done with malicious intent (afawk), just an editorial goof that should have been caught.
If, otoh, they don't want to print an apology for the mistake, then you might have some recourse.

Hi guys, I got the article, it looks pretty dang good! Unfortunately the captions are all wrong. Dave is right that Mr. Chen is not the type to get upset over something so trivial. He's a very kind hearted man. But I still feel bad, it should have been a really cool piece!
