Make $32K? You're in the richer 50%

Canadians need a good mocking every once in awhile. To keep you in your place and all.

My dad can't believe the figures, but I can say with certainty that most people I've met throughout this country make less than 30K.

And I didn't like most of the folks I knew when I was in the top 10%.

It is amazing that so many people can survive with so little. Otoh, it's not so expensive to live in the country. But, fwiw, in the Bronx, NYC, the avg income is below 25,000. Not complaining though, in parts of PA and WV, the avg income is even less. Well, I can also say that I don't think I live better now that I make more. I was perfectly happy making 20,000 per. Sure, I had to buy "Brand X" (with the white lables) and go to the "bread outlet" on my bike.

I've been getting by on about $300 a week for two or more people for several months now.

And that's been supporting a pretty hefty party habit.

It gets old, but you can get by.
