"Lighting Quick"
By Wong Lofan
A lovely girl, lighting quick- changed her clothes in Dad's old car.
I almost spilled my coffee- and burned my leg you know?
Lighting quick!- jeeze, we did not drive very far...
"Don't worry uncle!, I have a wife beater on under my shirt,
and I just pulled my pants on under my skirt,
don't have a heart attack- cause you are older than dirt!".
She squirmed and giggled, then grabbed the Chinese wooden turtle,
That hung down from the station wagon’s red dash.
"Ewe! Ewe! I bumped your little bitty turtle-but I didn't hurt it!",
She chirped with a sly, sunny grin, I laughed so hard- we almost crashed....
I am real sorry
