We should not be under any illusions. This is not the country it was yesterday. That place has gone for ever.

I am not a brit or a racist. ;)

I am just highly critical of the EU´s vision of Europe. You can read about some strange plans on their offical website.
TTIP, ECALL, INDECT etc.
In addition, the sponsor some strange science projects with the Horizion2020.

The EU has some benefits for sure. I just wish the EU would be more about direct democracy.
At the moment, I feel this could be chance. I wont deny, that I could be totally wrong and we are fucked sooner or later.

The future will see... Cooperation is good. A union kind of thing is also fine. But the bureaucracy of EU is a joke. The people in EU department are way too many, they earn way too much and all their privileges is something I don't associate with democracy. I like the idea, I hate the execution on many planes. We need a lot of what EU stands for, but I don't think that we need EU as it is in it's present form. Get rid of it and the countries will be able to cooperate just as fine. GB did a good thing, now the whole EU is in jeopardy. Yes, the future will see... 8-)

Well it's easy to select clips, edit them a certain way, present them out of context and pretend there is some kind of civil war going on in Europe. Sure there are some problems, but nothing on the scale that the Britain First types would have us believe. I noticed the clips doesn't include the muslim poppy sellers, the muslim LGTB marches, the muslim charity workers at the UK floods, etc, etc. Or are they all part of the plan too??

Like I said, I heard all the same rhetoric back in the 70s, except then it was "blacks" rather than "muslims"...."the blacks are taking over...." ::)

You do know the difference between an ideology and race.
The question was basically one of whether you or others where good with the changes
that have come and will come as they become the dominant culture.

I dont know about any "plan" only what has been shown time and time again.

Best of luck with the new beginning

It would be almost impossible for them and stupid.

What i really hate is how the remain voters are now calling everyone who voted to leave racists. :( What an intellectually dishonest position :(

A good point for Wales but when you compare the Irish and the Scots, the Welsh have the appearance of 'trusted friends" of London. The Irish and the Scots, due to their rambunctious outlook were like outlaws so in one sense, it would be interesting to see how this BREXIT fiasco bottoms out

It will be interesting to see. I think the Scots will ask for another referendum, using the same logic as the Brexiters. I.e., why should people in another country tell us what to do? There will certainly be calls for Irish reunification, which would make sense since the Republic will stay in the EU. Hard to say about Wales, but it voted to stay; so, we'll have to see.

It'll also be interesting to see what happens in Europe. I'll bet there are those who hope Merkel will step down and even that Germany leave the market. One can imagine the reemergence of a quasi-continent full of countries with competing interests. Imo, that's why the stock markets will probably be in turmoil for a while, at least. It's not because of predictions; it's because of uncertainty. If you're an investor, do you bet that your British investments will rise or fall? If you work with currencies, is it time to buy or trade British pounds?

It'll be a fun(d) day, but no time to panic. Well, there's never a good time to panic, since it doesn't change anything, anyway.

Btw, afa "racism," the English are no different than the Yanks. There are racists of all political persuasions. But, in the US, racism is based on whiteness. In England, however, it's based on Englishness; and it's nothing new. The English have always thought themselves separate from and superior to the French, Spanish and even their cousins the Germans. They've waged wars and enslaved the Scots and Irish --who've considered themselves distinct "races," too. Anyway, I'm saying this because there are certainly Black and Asian Britons who voted to leave and feel that immigrants (from Europe) reduce their opportunities and raise their cost of living. The people who don't like brown people, wogs, wops, pakis, etc. have always been there. Watch the "Fawlty Towers" episode about the "war."

Sturgeon says new Scottish independence vote is now 'highly likely' and could be held within months as nationalists pounce after Scotland votes to stay in the EU - while England backs Brexit

Yes I do - but the current wave of rhetoric is fuelled by both ideology on one side and ideology and race on the other. The irony is Brit-fascists have more in common with Islamo-fascists than they would care to admit. It's that pesky race thing that gets in the way....

Like I said sure there are some problems, but nothing on the scale of the selective reporting people put forward as "this is what is happening". It's funny to hear some people in the USA talk about the "no-go" areas in the UK that I work/socialise in on a regular basis ::)

Of course you wear a burqa when you go there, take a walking oath to sharia law and say al-salami-lakum, right? ;)

We're watching the start of the break up of the United Kingdom right now.

Within 2 years Scotland will be gone, then Ireland will unify. All because of a spat within the conservative party that got out of control. What a waste. The sad thing is people are too stupid to see what's happening. One guy was just on TV saying he didn't think his vote really mattered so he voted leave as a protest. He didn't think it would actually happen, and now he's really worried. I wonder how many others there were like that?

I say we go full retard now and legalise guns and have open carry laws. Might as well go all in.

Well it wouldn't be the first stupid thing done this week.

Yes, EU regulations suck. In Poland they couldn't even sell Kielbasa because someone didn't file the proper paperwork. I get it but I don't think has anything changed for England other than making the French seem like perfectly reasonable people, by the way the French are happy to see you go because they don't want to see any English influence, both politically and linguistically, so job well done. England will still have abide by EU regulations if it wishes to do any business within the EU.
