...and whaddayaknow, the human race managed to survive yet another year just fine, yet again, despite much (usual) emotional hassle and various (and, again, usual) "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!" events and thoughts and concerns.

The infinite (in both space and time) and fully-interconnected universal Soup of micro- and macro-cosmic events will undoubtedly continue to brew itself, completely undisturbed by, and ignorant of, the economic, emotional, political, martial, marital, and any and all other states in which this infinitesimally puny and utterly insignificant side-effect of the Soup's everlasting global change, that calls itself "humans" and whose overdeveloped little brains continually promote the delusional feeling of self-awareness and a really-delusional presumption of having some sort of control over any of the aforementioned events, might possibly ever find itself.
