Russia has been monkeying with the West since at least the time of the Soviets.

The media and their fellow travelers on the left had no issue with this back when they were supporting the socialist, academia and communist parties in the West. Barring a lot of useless violence via various revolutionary groups in the US during the 1960s and 1970s it didn't seem to impact much outside of academia.

To the degree it ever impacted an election it can only be said to have essentially laid the groundwork for the Obama administration in terms of his indoctrination during his Ivy League years.

The Russians have been screwing the West's political systems for decades and I don't see that changing. Their goal presently appears to be creating chaos in the West to allow for greater movement on their end.

I'm not really sure what all of the hubbub is about other than the fact that they don't seem to be giving the Left in the West money anymore.
