Have any good travel tips? Packing? Jet lag? Eating? Tips at the airport? Anything else?

skyscanner.com is my go to for ticket pricing. They'll even send you alerts.

Fit everything you need in one carry-on.

I can do this, except for extra underwear/socks/tshirt in laptop bag

Pack less. I did a two week trip to Japan and Taiwan and even though I had everything in one carry on bag, I could have brought less.

Pack half as many clothes, and arrange to have twice as much money.

It's an interesting intellectual and practical exercise isn't it?

I kind of over analyze how much I can pare it down, while having max versatility, and present ability for biz, how to roll and cube etc. But it seems to work. Got it all fairly organized. Marie Kondo might approve.

How about other tips? How can you deal with that Asia jet lag

Why pack less? Is this poor college hostel travel advice?
What about pack for dinner and pack for activities and pack for hygiene?
Or is it 'backpacking thru Europe'? Or bicycle touring.
Please dont tell me say it's to beat the airlines luggage fees.
Pack a huge carry on that won't fit in the overhead and then pound it in there - true class.

haha yeah I hate those guys!

there is something fun and satisfying about the sudoku puzzle and the efficiency, I think. mostly I mean for business. for pleasure, i don't mind bringing a bit more stuff.

some other random stuff I try to do
- find Whole Foods
- buy water, bread, organic fruit, maybe something like chicken salad. stick that in the mini fridge for snacks because it's hard to get nutritious foods on the normal schedule.
- try to go to sleep on local time zone (almost always fails)

When wife and I out for travel(mainly just going to another city) she insist on packing a whole shoe shelf of shoes although she just wear one pair and another pair for “finer” occasions. And also an excess of other clothes as well. When it’s time to go back home she manage to bring along enough of other stuff to fill another bag. Last time I was back to visit Sweden she wanted me to bring along an water cooker just in case if the place a was to stay at didn’t have any such.…I just love my wife :)

Trick -
I feel you -

My wife will take 4 suitcase next week to Brazil.
Later when I travel to join her I will open my supposedly empty
suitcase to find I have 1/8 of the space left and her excess is in the rest.
Travel tip - take only metered cabs - Shanghai Pudong taxi pirates will accost you
after exit from customs - tell you they have nice car and ask for 600 RMB - I tell them
I only see they have shoes where is your car? Marked cabs at the taxi stand is good
experience - 100-150 RMB to downtown.
