Yeah, I thought it was cool.

I like how he sets up the ward-off transition posture, by hiding with the stroking of his chin.
And, then sure enough he transitions into ward-off end posture.
He could have been more subtle with it but that was Nice!

I also like how the short film plays with some Taiji myths:
Like my legs so strong, your attempts at leg take-down has no effect.
Ha ha.

But, then again, I am a Taiji geek. :)

What the hell was that leg attack the guy on the ground was supposed to be doing? Hilarious. ;D

That hand on/stroking the chin, elbow resting on the other hand of the arm crossing the chest posture is one of the non-threatening ready stances that I sometimes use when I don’t know if a (drunk, stupid, arguing...) person may suddenly decide to initiate an attack. Think of it as a pause in the Cloud Hands movement when the hands are crossing the centerline of one’s body.

I now realize that the shoulder push was a sucker move
as it should have been press the elbow.

Very well made short film, must have taken a lot of time.

He doesn't get much resistance here below, so I would like to see him against one of those crazy fast weight lifting Chen stylists. But still he seems to be very good. This is better and more relaxed than most of the well known teachers push hands efforts:
