My favor breakfast

Postby johnwang on Tue Aug 20, 2019 8:17 pm

After these many years, the following are my favor breakfast that I would like to share here.

- 2 sandwiches, stone ground whole wheat bread + cheese + smoked salmon,
- 1 small cucumber,
- 2 radish,
- 4 small tomato,
- hot green tea,
- 6 pieces of astragalus root + 20 goji berries + 6 dried jujubes + hot water.

The goji berries + dried jujubes + hot water was suggested by my long fist teacher who is 93 years old today. I add in astragalus root to reduce eye pressure.

i just love Hotels breakfast buffet. Bacon, Sausages, fried eggs and baked-beans, toasts of fine white wheat and at least three kinds of jam.....(oops, almost forgot peanut-butter) is a must, otherwhise its not a quality buffet. It all should be soaked(in the stomach) by two cups of strong black coffee and a glass of freshly pressed juice of free choice......8-)

Mmmm... There’s nothing better than having breakfast in Chinese 5 star hotels. 8-)

Or an even better luxury tip: Many big Chinese four and five star have special breakfast rooms higher up in the hotels for the top floor guests living in the more expensive rooms. Then you can have even better specially made breakfast eating almost alone. Usually not many guests eating there at the same time.

Next favorite is a cup of good coffee with a slice of New York cheese cake.

What a great topic.

What are the goji berries, astralagus, and jujubes for?

For the hotels, best breakfast I had was at a high end hotel in Taiwan that had:

- Japanese
- Taiwanese
- Chinese
- European
- American

Style breakfast foods and somehow they were all excellent, which was hard to believe.

Just soak in hot water. Use coffee pot and filled with 2 glasses of hot water. You can refill with water one more time.

Actually same breakfast as down at the restaurant as up there at the executive lounge. But of course if you stay at a room up at the executive floors you have access to the lounge all day with “free” beverages and pastries(I love cookies and more than happy to include one or two danishes in my breakfast). At evening the Lounge has happy hour with as much “free” fine liquor, beer and wine one wish together with a smaller dinner buffet..........[free - the company(or someone else) pays] 8-)

Nope. Not exactly. The times I’ve been in staying in better rooms I have checked out the common restaurant as well. There has definitely been differences and more expensive specialties not served downstairs. The most obvious difference though is that the food doesn’t stand there as long and feels fresher.

I usually have some variation of an acai bowl but not always with acai, normally I use kefir or almond based keffir. With lots of dates and nuts, fresh fruit and berries.

Also a bagel with almond butter or avocado toast if I have time.

I have a goji berry bush. They are extremely easy to grow and even grow in a desert but I find unless you water them regularly you won't get a lot of fruit.

I went to a Vitaly Bowls location and was surprised to see that they have tons of variations of the acai bowl.

Eating this way I lost excess weight but that's probably also because my work is very physical. Proper diet and exercise does wonders.

Professor Wang, have you tried keffir? It's an acquired taste but I was always told it is some of the healthiest stuff on the planet. It is like yogurt but with a lot of healthy probiotics.
